Week Without Walls Sichuan Province, China

Last week I had the good fortune to travel with three colleagues and a group of 30 students through Sichuan Province for NCPA's Week Without Walls. We volunteered at the Panda Conservation Center, helped with construction in a small town ravaged by a recent earthquake and learned about Chinese culture in this particular province.

While there were many memorable moments during this trip it was seeing my students push themselves to work harder, think in a different way or put the needs of others before their own was by far my favourite part of this experience and the main reason why I feel that programs like Week Without Walls are so beneficial to students. seeing my students push themselves to embrace new challenges,
