Cooperation, Confidence & Fitness
Sport and physical activity, whether in a competitive or recreational form are integral to the development of teamwork and perseverance as well as confidence in one's own ability to meet physical and mental challenges. In teens, this is particularly important as they begin to discover who they are as individuals and learn skills that will be useful for the rest of their lives.
I have had the opportunity to coach girls rugby, ice hockey, instruct canoeing and even coach Muggle Quidditch. When I arrive at a new school I always look for an opportunity to get involved in physical extracurricular activities, an important part of a school community.
