Congrats CIC Class of 2019!

Today my first all-female Biology class walked across the stage to receive their High School Diplomas. The dynamic in this class was so unique, with six very focused ladies working to complete the IB DP Biology program, undeterred by numerous challenges and barriers. Despite only teaching these students for one year I formed a special bond with several of these young ladies and I am so excited to see what the future holds for them!

It was a tough year in Caracas, with black-outs, protests, a lack of running water and many missed classes due to all of these obstacles. This was easily my most challenging teaching year, but it has led to some amazingly strong bonds and great memories. Congrats CIC Class of 2019!
