New School Year, New Country

Today was the first day of school at Rabat American School, my new home for the next few years. I will be teaching IB DP Biology (both SL & HL) as well as NGSS science for grades 9 & 10 students. This school has a gorgeous campus and a lovely community feel. It is officially my tenth first day of school (as a teacher) and as always I was nervous the night before....what would my students be like? What kind of year would I have? How could I do my best for my students to meet their needs? With my classroom ready it was time to see what the first day would bring.

While it's really early to say after just a single day of classes I feel like this year is going to be a good one. Both my students and colleagues seem excited and ready to make this a great school year. I'm ready to see what the year brings!
